UNPLANNED System Downtime

We came back from vacation (stories & pictures to follow) to find that our network had been zapped. Probably by lightning.

Our ADSL modem was fried and the keyboard & PS2 port on the webserver — the new motherboard — has been fried. Now every time I boot up the server, it buzzes like crap. In addition to replacing the ADSL modem, I had to buy a new USB keyboard for the server. It works, but I cannot get into BIOS at the moment because the USB isn’t initialized during bootup. Ugh.

But at least the server is back up and running.
