THE LION KING — stage show

Last night, Wendy & I (along with Ted, Tracy, Ginny, Julie, Carrie, Bob, Sharon, Dave, Mary, and several hundred others) saw THE LION KING, the tour company of the original Broadway show.

Tonight, Wendy and I ate at Nicholson's in downtown Cincinnati. We dined with Ginny, David, Carrie, Julie, Ted, and Tracy before some of us crossed the street (and in front of some of the "Cincinnati Protesters" (who, I swear, have no idea what they're even…

Tonight's dinner was at one of our favorite places that we never eat… Skyline Chili!

Skyline is a restaurant with a rich history in Cincinnati. It is said that Cincinnatians will wean their children from the nipple directly to Skyline Chili. Beyond that, Cincinnati is just about the only place where a guy can ask his server for a "three way" and not get the snot slapped out of him.

Wendy had a three way (spaghetti, chili, and cheese — usually eaten with oyster crackers (Wendy likes to hide hers in the three way) and hot sauce). I had a Skyline Deluxe Burrito with sour cream and a lot of hot sauce.

Tonight, we ate with several of Wendy's co-workers at the Taj Mahal, a local Indian restaurant that Wendy & I enjoy very much.

We dined on their excellent samosas, fried 'unmeltable' cheese, and paneer makahani, along with saag bihrani, and several other dishes. Naan and batura breads were in abundance, too!

Delicious food all around!
