With errands behind us, Wendy & I went to see the 4:00 production of THE TRIAL OF EBENEZER SCROOGE at Falcon Theater. They did a good job, and Donnie, who played Scrooge, did an exceptional job. It was an entertaining show.

Since we were nearby, Wendy suggested we stop at the BLUE GIBBON restaurant, one of her favorites. We enjoyed our ‘usual’ appetizers of Cold Sesame Noodles and Chicken Corn Soup, then we each had a noodle dish (vermacelli for Wendy, udon for me) before heading home to make Christmas Bark candy, the first of three batches we’ll make this year.

Ahh! Closing night of ROCKY HORROR SHOW at Falcon Theater! What a nice feeling to be closing a show. It’s been a lot of fun to work on, and the audiences have been great. Tonight was no exception as an appreciative sold-out audience enjoyed the show very much.

Dinner before the show was cheese quesadillas from Taco Bell.

Tonight marked the first night of the last weekend of the ROCKY HORROR SHOW at Falcon Theater, and what a ride it’s been! We had a sold-out house this evening (with a waiting list) and another sold-out house (with waiting list) to anticipate for Saturday, our closing night. Two of my students, Matt and Kristen, came to see the show and seemed to really enjoy it.

The show is going very well and is well-received by the audiences.

Before the show, Dave & I met for dinner at the Pepper Pod and were eventually joined by Robin, who has an opening night of his show tonight. Break a leg, Robin! I had a steak hoagie, some cottage cheese, onion rings, and a slice of cherry pie for dinner.

Dinner before this evening’s performance of the ROCKY HORROR SHOW at Falcon Theater was a run through Taco Bell for a couple quesadillas and one of their awesome Caramel Apple Empenadas.

Between shows, we had sandwiches, chips, and sodas brought in (thanks Ted & Tracy!) so we hung out at the theater.

A bunch of my co-workers from Pigall’s came to the midnight show and hung out for a bit afterward to chat and catch up. Thanks to Jeremy, Rob, Amanda, Richard, Abby, and Luke for coming to the show! I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks also to Chef (who couldn’t make it to the show because he was receiving an award) for letting them skip out on ‘deep cleaning’ to make it in time.

After the second show, several members of the cast and production team went to Perkin’s for a late/early breakfast. Wendy & I got home around 3:30am (even considering the 1-hour time change, it was a late night!).

My premonition came true! As it turns out, I am psychic. I’m just a better psychic than I expected, seeing not ONE DAY but more than ONE WEEK into my dining future.

I was right — Dave (who plays Dr. Scott (great Scott!) in the ROCKY HORROR SHOW at Falcon Theater) & I met at Pepper Pod. Our server, a kind lady who has worked there for 35 years and talks in a sing-song voice yelled at Dave for not finishing his green beans. I had salsbury steak, mashed potatoes, and cottage cheese. A cola product to drink! It was good but nothing earth shattering! It didn’t sit well!

Man, I’m a talented psychic. I need to sit down.

Wendy & I were really busy today… We had a wedding to attend (congratulations, Lonnie & Brittany!), had to run home to take care of the dogs, and then it was back down to Newport Kentucky for TWO performances of THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW at Falcon Theater.

We had dinner at the wedding, a very nice buffet with chicken and roast beef, and all the trimmings. We were quite full through the first performance, but then stopped over at Lightfoot’s Restaurant for a snack (fried bologna sandwich and grilled cheese) between shows.

The show is going very well. If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, it’s not too late. Visit the theater website (above) for tickets and information.
