i think that seeking truth (which isn't always immediately represented by 
beauty and love) is the essential third element in your equation, fred.  
kelvin, do you believe that it's at all possible to know beauty and love (to 
a limited extent) without knowledge of God?  i think i would argue that it 
is, but difficult...
