Yeah, american prices are actually rather good.
Take mexico, for one.  Their government owns all the gas stations, so
if the economy goes a little bad for a few weeks, all gas prices
rocket.
I forget the exact firgures, but last time I was down in mexico the
government was short a few million so they average gas prices were
significantly more than a dollar or two. or three. or four.
As far as I'm concerned, if paying for gas is such a big, demanding,
horrible issue then why don't we all just WALK everywhere, then we can
all lose weight and feel great!  We'd have TONS more money in our
wallets, and after walking all those extra hours to get to work, we
wouldn't have the energy to go out and waste the money so we'd all be
significantly richer.
except for the poor guys who own gas stations, but who cares about
them?  They charge to much so that they can pay their employees decent
amounts.
(if you haven't noticed yet I'm being to sarcastic for my own good and
somebody ought to shoot me and put me out of my misery)
