I was standing there chatting up the Wisconsin people when I hear this
voice ask me, "Are you Drew?" and I turn to face a beautiful, angelic,
smiling Lynzi. She identified herself, and I (being no fool) swooped in for
a hug that I wished could have lasted, oh, 20-30 years...
Then, of course, the practical side of my brain started to think, hmmm...
20-30 years in this embrace. How would we eat? Or sleep? Or go to the
bathroom? Or shave? How would I walk my dog? What about driving? Could we
really live for 20-30 years standing in the middle of Canal Street? What
would living in a bar do to my tax status? Or how would we put on
deoderant? Or bathe, for that matter? Does it matter? We could make this
work!
THEN the REAL practical side of my brain thought, hmmm... She's somewhere
between 17 and 20. I'm 31. I could concievably GET 20-30 years, but not in
her warm embrace... Rather, as someone's b*tch in jail for corruption of a
minor... Darnit. I told her that, "If I was only 10 years younger..." Then
she said, "But I'd only be 8!". ;-)

I've seen the rulebook. The amount of trouble you and I together generate
is specifically allowed in section 26.R3.21a-c (Revision 3-97). But only
twice a month...
