Canal St... Possible Gathering?
Okay, I'm really new to this list, and I know that you are all old friends
and that I'm kinda the (I don't believe I'm going to say this...) new kid on
the block, BUT I have been really hankering for a road trip. I know Dayton
is a long ways away, but I'm going damn it. SO...
I'm going to be driving from Pittsburgh to Dayton. I'd greatly apreciate if
anyone knows of any good places to stay. Also, if there is going to be a
gathering of listies, it would certainly be wonderful to meet some of y'all.
I don't know you very well, but what I do know has shown you to be pretty
neato folks.
Also, if there are any keen places to go around Dayton, I'll probably be
arriving sometime Friday night, and any pointers would be greatly
apreciated.
I know that 5 hours is a long way to drive to "see a band." But, it is Over
The Rhine, and I have only seen them live once (in a poorly attended show,
and I know they can do MUCH better). Plus, I'm not really doing this to see
them as much as seeing them because I'm doing it. Every once and a while
the overwhelming urge to not be where I am jump out of my car and drags me
into another state... or country seeing as how I'm so close to Canada now.
