For the longest time, I thought they had played on "Swimming a Human
Ocean." Then I pulled my old cassette copy out and they were nowhere
to be found.

I actually saw servant once. Circa Feb. 1987. Tight band. Good light
show. It was right after they left Myrrh, but before they started
their indie phase, toured New Zealand, etc. Our intrepid trio very
likely was in the band. We were late, so we missed almost all of the
first opener. But they had a female singer, I believe. Hazy memory
wants to suggest Karin. If I didn't know that OtR formed in 1988, I'd
think I had seen Over the Rhine four years ahead of when I thought I
had. Or maybe they traded under a different name for a while. But I'm
probably hallucinating. Anybody know for sure

I signed the mailing list, and hazy memory also seems to recall a
newsletter with a fuzzy photostat of a photo of Linford with really
big hair in a Kiwi airport. That one I'm more sure about. Because the
hair was really big. And he had those round glasses even way back then.
