i guess when i wrote that, i meant that some music still speaks to me
that was made in the 80's (like rem, U2, talking heads, elvis
costello, over the rhine, and so on) while other music seems to seem
'relevant" only when i'm being sentimental about the decade- duran
duran, motley crue, etc. of course, again, i'm being subjective, but i
think a lot of people might define 80's music in these terms- the
songs that make them think about the 80's.
