@ CJs, EJ, OtR pushing the cart.
Mr. Emery! You ~have~ to have heard a CJs song! Their cover of Reed's
"Sweet Jane" was like a watermark for a lot of the understated female alt
pop bands now, "Common Disaster" was all over the radio just 2 or 3 years
back (and sounds freakin' awesome with Karin and Terri on backup).
It's like me at the concert last night; I got dragged to an Elton John
show, and I didn't know any of these, some of which I arguably should've
known I guess. I've heard the titles, don't think I'd heard the songs
ever though: Grey Seal, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Honky Cat, Blues Eyes,
Crocodile Rock, Philadelphia Freedom, The Bitch Is Back. I knew a lot of
the others though. During "Don't let the Sun..." I kept waiting for
George Michael to say, "ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Elton John!!".
I think OtRs recent blatant commercialistic plea is fine; something they'd
done around the time of Eve too. It's a sink or swim world and they wanna
swim. At least swim in a tour bus, not in a skank van.
