RE: Re: Dumb iTunes Question

What about the battery life? I've heard that the batteries only last about
18 months, and then you have to buy an entirely new ipod

You'll be able to play MP3's on your new 40GB iPod. Of the 5119 files on my
20GB iPod, 849 are MP3s, the rest are AAC (except for one sole WAV)

You'll be able to play WAV files, AAC files, AIF, MP3, MP3 VBR.

Also, since the device's firmware is upgradebale, it allows for future
formats to be supported.

The iPod is my favorite electronic gadget.

Soo...none of my 1,800+ mp3s would play on an iPod as they are? I'm on a
Mac, can I run them through iTunes somehow first?

This is, of course, assuming I get an iPod one day.
