I love my Mac.  Was always a Windows user, but really only wanted my 
computer to:

1. Run Microsoft Excel (I HEART Microsoft Excel)
2. Run Microsoft Word (I HEART Microsoft Word, but to a lesser degree)
3. Surf el internet
4. Rip, manage, burn CDs/DVDs
5. Record and mix music.

It does all that beautifully.  MS Word and Excel on the Mac seem better than 
the Windows versions for some reason.  iTunes (the program, not the store) 
is perfect for my music catalog needs.  The built-in apps are killer.  
Reason and Digital Performer are awesome.

I don't blame Windows computers for crashing all the time - the Unix based 
Mac OSX helps that beautifully, but I also think it's the limited amount of 
things that can be hooked up to a Mac that helps that too.  Everything I 
hook up to my computer just works when I plug it in.  Cameras, scanners, 
printers.  Even the Microsoft Word and Excel installation was sublime - put 
the CD in, it opens a screen that reads, "drag this file onto your desktop" 
and then it was done, literally, in less than 10 seconds.  Didn't bug me for 
ID numbers or anything.  Wow.

My iPod is my cherished friend..  It's no huge secret that Apple isn't 
making bank off of selling songs - Wall Street categorized it as $0.60 or so 
going to the label, and $0.30 or something going to marketing, managing, etc 
the store - leaving pennies for profit.  They mark up the iPod at $200 or 
something, but holy smokes is the interface groovy.

Now, on to OTR...

Why oh why has there been no news from the OTR camp since the Holiday shows? 
 This two months feels like the longest since the lull after Ric and Brian 
left.  What's going on?  There hasn't been a mp3 of the month since 
November.  The green splash screen that replaced the Happy New Year one is a 
month or so old.  Hmm.
