Re: dem primary

well, personally i don't particularly enjoy guns, and they make me nervous (albeit much less nervous since i actually learned to shoot one). but i tend to think there's something to be said for societies where it's legal to carry concealed weapons. people tend to stay the **** away from each other, and crime tends to be much lower.

having said that, i can see the onslaught of facts that i've probably missed looming on the horizon. and i have to say- i'm probably not going to stay involved on a legalized weaponry debate here. my problem was with taking michael moore's pick for president as a good compass to go by. hopefully now i've made my point, and others have made theirs, and having all been nice kiddies playing friendly though we may disagree, i can go back to work...

still relying on pepper spray and the evil eye,

melanie

Particularly with the bits on guns in Canada, I didn't quite get that
particular vibe. But I can see where you're coming from. On the gun
subject, BfC really did quite a number on us. There's nothing abstract
about what the movie was talking about for us; we actually own a revolver
that was first bought for my wife when she was single and living alone in
the country. BfC has made us reconsider rather heavily having it -
really, what _is_ the point? We'll probably get rid of it after we see it
again.

Sure. However, I've never yet seen a documentary where there wasn't some
point to it or some slight journalistic bent, whether it was "Hands on a
Hardbody" or a Civil War documentary. Mikey-boy is just a lot less
reticent about showing the convictions that he works from.
