What a beautiful stack of pancakes this has all turned out to be
Lord knows I've burned 'em part way; ah, but it's tasty good to me
And I've measured flour pretty loosely
There's more to flapjacks than flour
There's an ingredient you wouldn't expect, dear
Call it a ladel full of love
And if the edges brown before I get back, flip them for me
You flip so gracefully
I really think they'll be ok
I've made them with tollhouse batter, babe

Nothin' like eatin' your pancakes stale
Nothin' much here but flour, yolks and dreams
Ah, but baby if chocolate fails
Nothing will ever stifle your screams
And I'm dying inside to tell I used more than just 3 eggs
