Brian Kelley Update

I saw Brian Kelley drumming last night for Ashley
Peacock.  He also sang backing vocals.  I guess
he's only Ash's fill-in drummer, but he did a
great job...

This was my 30-or-so time to see Ash, and only my
first "full band" experience.  WOW!  Lots more
depth to the songs, some really rockin' parts...
I think the full band switch suits Ashley very
well.

OtR fans would like him... and if you have the
OtR Tribute album, you've already heard him (he's
track #1 on CD #2).  If he's in your town, you
are expected to go... :) plus you might see Brian
Kelley, too.

Jason Ludwig's band (Noctaluca) was 2nd last
night.  I'd never seen him or his band, but I
had a feeling it'd be good... I was wrong.  It
was GREAT!!  Jazzy in parts, guitar oriented
rockin' backbone to a great singer-songwriter
base, great vocals, and an admirable stage
presence... Jason Ludwig and Noctaluca is a
band to watch out for...

The lovely Maery Lanahan and her band went on
last... I wish we could have stayed for her
set, but it was already quickly approaching
midnight, and my coach was turning into a
pumpkin soon...
