For a bunch of guys younger than myself who all met in Athens, GA, not too many years ago (some of which played in a band with one of the artists they now promote) and are as small a company as they are, I think Paste do a particularly good job.  And I think their magazine is outstanding - if you haven't yet, check it out sometime.  But you have to admit - they make available a pretty good selection of artists.
