My Cornerston3 Experience: EPISODE THREE(With A Vengeance)

Dear Friends,

In light of the recently announced radical changes to Cornerstone
Magazine's Music And Arts Festival for 2004, I am drawn back down memory
lane, and guiltily coerced into continuing my Cston3 memoirs. (This
information can be used in the construction of a cyberprofile for
mark[of the beast]eting purposes).   


EPISODE THREE (With A Vengeance)

Before sitting next to the beskirted Saint Smitty at the Friday night
oTr@Gallery concert, a disturbingly odd date, if there ever was one, I
got to meet the perky Kylie Wilkerson, who, quite honestly, appeared
shorter, and younger, than she had the previous year. She was also
employed, tanned, and looked way too healthy, for someone who is,
apparently, shrinking.  

As well as her effervescent personality, another annual benefit of
seeing Kylie is getting to meet her boyfriend Joe, again, because I
consider it a rare privilege to meet one of the brave veterans of
combat, so soon after it actually happened. I think Joe spent forty-one
days in the intense desert heat without being able to take a shower,
although, when he told me that, I had a feeling that I, probably smelled
as bad as he ever did, after not showering for two days. 

I'm the kind of cranky (when I was 17, a woman in a bar, having
overheard a conversation I was having, said that I was too young to be
so cynical) curmudgeon, who likes to think of people around the age of
twenty as all being cellular telephone carrying candidates for _The
Jerry Springer Show_, but, Kylie, Joe, and, even in the MANSKIRT, Saint
Smitty, give me hope for the future.
