i have heard a few of you say that you have stopped of and said hello to
linford, do linford and karin sell their albums from a small warehouse or
something where you just go in and actually say hi to them?
Actually, Emily they come to us. They travel
around in a little VW microbus and stop at various towns and open up the side
door and sell CDs from the corner of a gas station parking lot. I guess
they are doing better with the CD sales since they no longer also sell the
fuzzy Elvis pictures as well.
Actually we have all pretty much met them at shows in
which they have performed. They very often will come out after the show
and talk to fans, sign autographs and the like. They are, as has
been said, very gracious folk. They are, well, Karin and Linford.
I don't know how to describe it better than that. Those who have met
them will understand what I mean.
Different thread........I saw that the Chicago shows
at Schubas are single shows on two different nights. Anyone know why
that is? Schubas is a fairly small venue and OTR usually plays two shows
back to back. One at 8 and one at 10. Both shows normally sell out
sometimes a week or two in advance. It just seems strange to change it
all around. I like getting a double dose. Although I have been
envious of concert reports that list 20 songs when the Schubas shows tended to
be 12-15. I'm hoping it will all work out for the
best.
