Yeah I saw him on the ESPN trial for Pete Rose thingy.  He was hilarious.
There is also a book out there called 'Sermon on the Mound' about a guys
personal revival after the ball going through Buckner's legs in 1986.

And thanks Ysoie for the recommendation of Tad Williams.  I didn't realize
that the 'Splendid Splinter' was still writing in his cryogenic (sp?) state.


I actually appreciate all the recommendations and will get to them when I
get a chance, but a classmate gave me "The Wizard's Tide" by Frederick
Buechner which I devoured in a sitting.  Wow...I have some of his stuff, but
have never been pulled in like this one pulled me in.  In fact I had never
finished any of his writings.
