folk music and URL

the URL was erroneously put on the mailing list 
website chronologically (11/02), however the current
months posts are in 01/03 (correct).  the URL should
usually be looked at to make sure that it's pointing
to the correct place... change the "200211" to
"200301," and you'll be fine.

folk music is not easily defined.  american folk
music tends to be more acoustical, but it doesn't
have to be.  singer-songwriter does not always
equal folk, though many people seem to make the
bad connection.  i think folk music would tend to
be music that is closely associated with the people
(or folk) involved in it... it's not a clear cut
"genre," if you ask me.

just ask the spaniards, greek, icelandish, alabamans,
or brazilians.  it'll all be different.
