Tele-electioneering

My experience with campaign phone calls came
Monday night. I crawled into bed at 11:15 and had
just fallen into that deep sleep when the phone
rang at 11:30. It was a prerecorded voice
encouraging me to vote for Ed Rendell, now
Gov.-elect in Pennsylvania. I was perturbed and
hung up immediately.

On Wednesday, my wife came home to a message from
Planned Parenthood that was an apology. They had
done the calls, and their contractor screwed up.
It only made me feel a little better.

Just to remain on-topic, Bill Mallonee, who's
touring with OTR, sings: "I hear that this is an
election year and I suppose it's true/ big world
gonna get what little is coming to her."
