Re: Cornerstone 2002 bootleg

There is an additional recording or two floating around, too. You know,
as if that wasn't obvious by the number of mics easily visible in the
tents. I happen to have two separate recordings at the moment, one from
Jeff and another by...we'll call him "Mystery Man #1." I would say the
sound quality for the Acoustic show is comparable, with perhaps a bit
better mid-range and low-end. I suspect that perhaps this recorder had
a batter vantage point on the PA. For the Gallery show, Jack's guitar
is definitely more pronouced than in Jeff's recording, masking the
vocals quite a bit. Once again, the low-end and mid-range are more
readily apparent. Perhaps it has to do with the mics used. On the
down-side, the discs are single tracks - so you can't easily skip
directly to a certain song.

So, it's another recording. Some plusses, some minuses. Overall, the
Acoustic show is a bit better than Jeff's (IMHO) but the Gallery show is
a bit worse.

If some of you want copies of it...we'll see what we can do. As Zayne
is already aware, I've been a bit slow with my mail lately. So, I can
get it out there. It'll just take some time.

-Smitty the concert-copyin' fool.

P.S. - I still love the fireworks at the beginning of the Gallery show...
