Root beer

What a fun discussion to miss over the weekend.

IBC is very good. It's readily available where I'm
from so I grew up with it.

Stewart's is ubiquitous. It tastes too much like
A&W--just plain.

1919 is excellent. It was one of the few redeeming
qualities of commuting to New Richmond, WI for the
better part of a year.

I've never heard of Sprecker's but now I'm looking for
it.

My personal favorite is Weinhardt's. But it's only
available in the west (brewed in Portland, OR). I
even asked Jungle Jim's to carry it and they can't get
it.

It's sweet, and full of vanilla and honey flavors, and
frothy-smoooooth.

Their cream-soda is equally good.

Someday I may move back out west. I'll probably never
verbalize it, but getting Weinhardt's at Safeway will
be one reason for it...

In the back of my mind I've pictured running a
mock-tavern with every conceivable brand of gourmet
root beer available. And music. Like a Canal Street
for soda lovers.

I like root beer.

Barq's sucks,

Brian
