new music, floating off to sea, finales
I. new music:
been spinnin' lately...
Superior - Ultima Ratio: great german prog rock
who finally made a concept album and who like
to say things like "wision"... as in "i'm having
a wision" or "you've been in my wisions"...
other than that, their english is superb. Bernd
Basmer writes some of the killingest guitar riffs
EVER.
What It Takes To Please You: nice stuff... been a
bit since i listened. nice music for today.
OtR is always good for a rainy day.
Criss Angel - System 2, System 3 & Mindfreak: i
finally picked these up the other week... similar
to Criss Angel System 1 (aka Angeldust "World of
Illusion"). much of the music works off of the
same themes and Criss' magic act. i dig the
man known as Celldweller, so i had to snag these
eventually...
Bill Mallonee - Live @ Jammin' Java: thanks, Barry!!
i like it... a lot.
Peter Mulvey - Brother Rabbit Speaks//Rain reissue:
great new packaging... at a price point that is
unbelievable. i am a commercial. i know.
Ty Tabor - In the New Age: six instrumental pieces
that he originally recorded in 1996 as an Xmas
present to his friends and family. nice, subtle,
ambient, divergent from anything he's done before.
nice tones... i guess he ran his guitar through
a keyboard and keyboard amp... beats me... i'm
just passing on what i heard... i like it.

II. floating off to sea:
anyone see Angel last night? holy crap.

III. finales:
2 hour Buffy season finale tonight... wooty to the
woot woot. maybe willow will blow up the town.
