I'm currently on hold with Discover, while they're trying to figure out 
why, since I paid them last week, they're still calling me. Mostly, the 
music on hold's been a ragged, depressing mix of cut-rate R&B and bad 80s 
movie music.

But right now, there's a gentleman quietly crooning a warning to me that 
"Stories and cigarettes ruined the lives of lesser girls."


My day has been brightened.
