Ironic, this discussion about Brent Bourgeois. I
was glancing at my CD collection the other day
and saw "Yoyo" by Bourgeois Tagg, which I picked
up in a discount bin a few years ago. I had never
listened to it in its entirety, so popped it in
during my drive to work. I know why I never made
it the first time -- perhaps it sounded good in
1987, at the height of keyboard-driven alternapop
-- but it just sounds so dated 15 years later. I
heard a few good moments, but as a whole it
doesn't do anything for me. The keyboards just
make it too cheesey.
