Wow,
I just have to jump in here and say that to me, Patience is
THE OtR disc. If I could only have one, Patience would be it. Be all. End all.
Favorite. Hands down.
And isn't it so interesting that we, all fans of this great
little band, have such diverse opinions about their music? Bruce, I laughed out
loud when you openly dissed IPMN, as I love it!! Love it! Hee!
One of the things that I love about Patience -- probably has
to do with it being so familiar to me after one zillion listenings -- it just
has this wonderful flow to it. The song order makes so much sense to me, and
even though I know what's coming next, I have this sense of relief when each new
song starts. The songs form such a great arc from start to finish, if that makes
any sense at all.
(That's the reason that the IRS version never sat well with me
-- my loss, Barry's gain)
