Re: elephants

I'm with y'all. I've always hated zoos. I think it goes back to the fact
that when I was a kid, Atlanta had a terrible zoo with miserable conditions
for the animals (and the employees, if memory serves me). Since they
renovated it back in the late 80's, I've never been. I don't like the
circus, either.

I totally agree with you Chris..
I remember that everytime I have been to a Zoo there has been
something traumatic about it...death somewhere..I know that happens
wherever we go...But it is just so tragic to see animals in their confined
state..This is not a natural habitat....It is good for the children to learn
about animals..but we have learned so much through books and information..do
we need really need an exhibition taking place?
We learned about God through words..music..books..people..and we believe in
His spirit...He is in his natural environment...
We love him just that way...without the cages..without the bars..
I have always been the kind of person to not judge to what each
enjoys....SO; if you go to a Zoo and you are absolutely enthralled..it is
great you find joy in it! But I myself can't find something
that makes me feel alive there...
But on a happier note...
Elephants are so beautiful..I have always wanted to take a trip to Africa
and be in their environment and see the interaction between them..that goes
for all animals everywhere actually! So; now you all know I am this animal
activist...so you probably take a gander at how many animal friends I have
in my home..*laugh*
Peace to all..
