getting the word out...
hi kids...
so, there's this thing in pittsburgh called *friday night improvs* (to which
bruce lachey told me i should take duggy, back in the olden days, but that's
just a little irony that amuses me), and it's kind of like *who's line is it
anyway?* except that it's all audience participation. it's fun. i try to go
every week.
anyway, i was there last night, and i was talking to my friend's steve and
eric about how i'll be travelling to ohio next weekend to see my favorite
band, and this girl asked me who it was that i was going to see. i told her
"over the rhine" and she said (surprise) that she had never heard of them. i
told her that she should come to the show at rosebud next month. she said
she might. i'll have to talk her into it!
another over the rhine related moment...
my friend alex was cleaning her boyfriend's house yesterday, and found an
over the rhine cd in a pile of cds that were mixed up. she was separating
them into dean's pile and dave's pile...it turns out that dean's younger
sister (who is seventeen) owns this over the rhine cd and dean had borrowed
it along with a few others. he didn't know the name of the cd, but i still
think that's cool. :) small world we live in!
so, just wanted to share. and now, i have to go to the chamber singer's
retreat, where i will rehearse a LONG time, and square dance for three hours
tonight. :) never thought i would look forward to square dancing...
