I've led sales in my store by a decent margin seven out of the eight
months I've been there-- the one month I was beaten, it was by another
woman's huge sale-- which all got returned a few weeks later. Currently,
I'm doing almost 40% of the business in that place by myself. No one else
can touch me. I'm just about even with the next two salespeople
_combined_. And what did I just discover, from someone who's already seen
the schedule? My manager has scheduled me to close-- and we close at
10.00pm-- Tuesday night. For those of you not aware, Tuesday sundown
marks the beginning of the holiest day of the year for me. I said very
specifically I had to work the opening shift that day, which is 6.30am to
3pm. And now I'm supposed to close.

I'm off to work now. This is going to be very, very ugly. Wish me luck,
all.
