requiem for a director's cut
what, none of you went to see the new aronofsky at the THEATRE?
well, i did, and i believe dan's consensus is correct, though i wouldn't
have phrased it quite that way. but that end scene is pretty, um, hard to
watch unedited.
it's a good choice to have it left out, although you may well say that it
was a good choice of aronofsky's to include it. it had quite an effect, in
my opinion.
on the same note, i saw 'fight club' in the theatres in england, and was
told that there was footage in the film there that wasn't being included in
the states. but i saw it over here and couldn't catch the difference, if
there was one. i think someone might have said it concerned the scene where
jared leto gets beat up. i don't know. maybe they were full of it. ;)
