how about when joe was talking to david, saying that the orga are 
afraid of them because they know that eventually the mecha will win, 
will take over. that it was their destiny. That's a bit of 
forshadowing if you ask me.

how about the old testament passage of Hebrews 9:27,
being "translated" by the alien-obots to david:

"just as man is destined to die once,
and after that to face judgment,..."

in explaining why they can't bring monica back for good.
