geesh. it's a loose quote. basically they meant that the things they found
had been around when humans were.

i did not claim that was what clued me in to them being machines
themselves. i think i said i thought they were aliens too.

my vegetables are *not* peaceful. they have been masticated.

i'm just saying if i was an advanced state of robotics,
(still "mecha" in origin, status, wiring, form, etc.),
i wouldn't say, "these machines". when saying - "these machines",
to me, refers to yet another form of being. not mecha, but organic.

my vote is they are alien.
