first of all, this discussion is going nowhere. and while i love feeding my 
ego by posting long-winded diatribes peppered with theories and big words, 
this would be a waste of my e-breath.

but i will say that i honestly don't invest much hope in people who come to 
christ through artists like carman and rebecca st.james and the lot. i'm 
sorry...sure, some of their songs *might* be considered valid as worship, or 
for use in a sunday school class or something, when you have no choice but 
to hit the lowest common denominator.

i don't see how a cheeseball video or lecturing or a big tour with arms in 
the air and all that brouhaha could ever lead someone into a religious 
faith. i guess some people are more sheeplike. whatever.
