Re: strike me anywhere

This is Chris - long time Rhinelander from Kent,Ohio -
now in Arizona. Happy to know how large the family has
become.

I will have to say that I am not one for telling
others how to think or feel, and definitely not one to
be told how to think or feel.

It's on those rare occasions when somehow, the words
chosen are not as cruel as good intentions tend to be.

I am recovering Catholic, rediscovering a god from my
childhood that until today I believed was punishing me
during my early years of life. It were the words of
Fred - who was sitting in his office last night,
talking about how we in so many ways find god dead.
Reading those words made my own hands hurt,
remembering how many times in the past my own anger
towards the ineffective God of my latter days failed
me; how I twisted it, entangled it, and crushed it
until pain was all I could feel for God.

How refreashing to know that it was not god who failed
me; it was myself.

Fred - thanks for your thoughts -

Chris is now going back into the desert sun.
"You may live nine billion lives, the trick is living
them one at a time."
