weellll, :)...b/c of "sinalefa" in spanish (especially
observed in poetry), the vowels run together at the
ends and beginnings of words so that one ends up being
5-5-4. but i am so excited over a spanish haiku!
what a novel idea.
la virgecita
en belen con su jose
meciendo el bebe
(also keeping in mind the semi-vowel status of the "i"
(or "u") in diphthongs).
