My mistake. I apologize. I reform my original statement to read
conservative instead of republican.

Ok, this is a short overview of how the money flows. We have the
government paying the drug companies, the drug companies pay their
workers/ceos/whatever=discretionary spending. The money is still being
spent and put out into the market.

bureacracy bureacracy bureacracy someone needs to administrate these
programs and make sure that the drug companies cooperate, people get their
benefits, etc.

Again my mistake. To line the liberal pockets, then.

Well education can be used as much by the conservative as it can by the
liberal. Certainly if you focus on certain thinkers like Foucault or
Ellul or spread into some of the Post-Colonial writers you will get a view
of the world that would lead one to definitely care about the "progress
that we are making. But a lot of people pay little attention to their
formal education and just get the degree to get a job and buy into the
capitalistic dream.

Maybe you're right. DO you think there is a better way?

:-) sorry. I didn't mean to offend any sensibilities.

Noooo..You don't say?

Oh, may I? You are ever so kind Master Kyle. Please teach me how to be
right? I see the errors in my ways I must become a liberal thinker in
order to save the worry. Sign me up IWW!

In truth, I'm merely playing the "devil's" advocate, not to associate the
conservatives with Satan. Just a figure of speech.
