The first 500 have x/500 handwritten by Ric Hordinski
on the inside on the right hand side at the bottom right.
There is no booklet. It would be nice to have a lyric
sheet to fit into the nice little pocket on the right.
The printing looks the way it does because they are all
hand stamped with rubber stamps. A couple nights I helped
stamp the inside left. It was difficult to get a good
flat stamping because of the extra overlap of cardboard
between the front and the left inside half. The extra
fine print made it especially difficult to make a
readable print. Even with many rejected for being
unreadable, many were kept as good enough because it takes
so long to hand stamp with four stamps. The overall
concept is that it is only an imperfect predecessor to the
new CD coming this autumn so it puposely has a handmade
appearance. Although only the first 500 are numbered the
total production of the CD's themselves is limited to one
thousand. Maybe they will all be worth a fortune in
twenty years.
