i hope that i don't fall in love with you

Hello.

Actually, I think it would be a nice idea for them to re-release the old
stuff with new live versions an' stuff. I may be influened here by the
fact that I don't have the booklets for TWHF, Patience, or Eve. So I'm
maybe more willing to buy something with booklets . . .

And when they re-release them, they should come in a box set called Peel
Slowly and See, with a little peelable banana on the cover.

Oh.

Wait.

Velvet Underground did that.

There's a Muncie band right now called the Lou Reeds. They're pretty
great. But nothing at all like OtR. Almost but not entirely unlike Over
the Rhine.

Ummm.

Lately I listen to the Eels and the Counting Crows all the time. These
aren't particularly hip choices, but sometimes your life goes into an
album or two for a while. So right now that's E's Daisies of the Galaxy
and both CC Live Across a Wire and CC This Desert Life.

Oh, and I just got Out of Range by Ani Difranco, and that's knocking me
out, too. Very good.

And at this moment, I'm listening to Closing Time by Tom Waits, which is
a great way to start a day, really. But maybe a better way to end one,
given the title. What a great album. Everybody go buy it right now,
okay?

whatever and ever amen,

Fred
