When I was a young boy, oh so many, erm, moons ago, I started looking for
the deep roots of my faith in logical and archaeological proofs.

At the wizened age of 25, I am finally seeing that the deep roots of my
faith have to do with God's faithfulness and provision and with the the
small miracles of Christian fellowship.

This is not to say that that whole academic-faith thing didn't turn up
some stunners.

It is only to say that the final and most important link in the chain to
have faith in the God of Christianity is experiential. Not logical.
"Take a step of faith" has been cliched-out so many times that it's
almost lost meaning. But it means.

Hmm.

Did y'all see that third Indiana Jones movie? With the grail? Where
there's that invisible bridge that Dr. Jones has to step onto?

What I'm talking about is the moment when your foot falls through the air
toward nothing and the instant the solid ground meets you in midair.

That Steve Spielberg guy. Has his moments. And then he has his other
moments.
Anyway . . . thanks for sharing, Amy.
